CII  Karnataka  SME Conclave
CII organized a SME Conclave under the Title “THE WORLD IS YOUR MARKET”  on 5th February 2010 at HOTEL LALITH ASHOK. This event was well received by the SME  members of CII  as about 100 participants  attended .
Eminent speakers from the industry, financial institutions, and government  shared their thoughts with the participants.

The  speakers  and experts emphasized the need  for the SME sector to go global  so that  world can look at India as the major manufacturing hub.

The speakers form HSBC spoke on the advantages that can be derived from the hedging, in protecting the profit margin.

Mr. Baligar,  the Principal Secretary, Commerce and industry Department, Government of Karnataka, in his speech  predicted that  by year 2039,  India would be number Two in the world , second to china and ahead of USA  & SMEs sector in India has a major role to perform. 

He also informed that there are many foreign companies who are very keen in investments in India and particularly in the  State of Karnataka .   Govt of Karnataka is  aiming   at  developing North Karnataka  as a major industrial hub  next to Bangalore. 

IPCA also participated in the above event. 

JOINT MEETING OF ALL INDIA ELECTRONICS TRADE ASSOCIATIONS ORGANISED BY IPCA

As an initiative towards the Silver jubilee celeberations of IPCA, as decided by the Executive committee of IPCA to invite all the electronic trade associations to take part in the celeberations, a meeting was held with the representatives of various trade associations in the country on the 22nd Jan 2010 at Hotel Royal Orchids central , Bangalore.

Represenatives from ELCINA, CLIK, ISA, SEMICON, CII participated.

Mr Anil Kumar President IPCA gave a brief of the various activities of IPCA and also invited the trade associatrions to be the part of our Silver jubilee celeberations.

The Associations appreciated the various activities of IPCA and have assured to be with us and it was resolved that these associations would work together, complementing each other in all their various activities and programmes
