  While wishing a happy New Year to all the members of IPCA, we are glad to inform you that the Industry Association Training Centre established during the year 2007 (IATC) as one of the training wings of IPCA, being the only Training Centre available in India for conducting courses of IPC Specifications & Standards for technical personnel working in PCB manufacturing and assembly, has conducted so far two open and three in house application specialists certification courses in IPC 610 D (Applicability of Electronic Assemblies) during 2007 & 2008 and the total number of certified application specialists were 54.  
     
  IATC also has conducted two in house training programme for IPC 600 G (Acceptability of Printed Boards) and the total number of application specialists trained and certified in IP 600 G was 22. These are the most sought after Training courses available for the technical personnel of the PCB and Assembly industry.  
  These courses in partnership with IPC, USA bring the resources of the industry right to you door step. It is a first-of its-kind Training Centre (IATC) offering formal, industry traceable training and certification programmes in India, at various centres.

Due to its constant demand for training on IPC Standards from the PCB and Assembly Industry, IATC has geared up its activities with two more training courses of IPC Standards on SOLDERING AND REWORK, MODIFICATION AND REPAIR TRAINING FOR ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLIES. Necessary training kits from IPC, USA and the additional training equipments such as soldering & desoldering stations etc. with all its accessories in house have all been procured and added as a permanent asset for IATC as equipments repeatedly required for training all the subsequent batches of technical personnel. IATC as it is well equipped to handle all these Training courses on its own.
 
  With the addition of the above two more new courses, IATC is at present offering special training courses for technical personnel of the PCB and assembly related industries on IPC Standards for the following:  
 

IPC 600 G -- ACCEPTABILITY OF PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS --- DURATION THREE DAYS

IPC 610 D – ACCEPTABILITY OF ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLIES -- DURATION FOUR DAYS

IPC 7711/7721-- RE WORK, MODIFICATION & REPAIR TRAINING FOR ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLIES -- DURATION FOUR DAYS

J-STD 001D -- REQUIREMENTS FOR SOLDERED ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLIES -- DURATION FOUR DAYS

   
 
  IATC TRAINING PROGRAMMES CONDUCTED DURING DECEMBER 2008  
 
Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) courses on IPC 7711/7721 (Re work, Modification and Repair training for Electronic assemblies) and J-STD 001D (Requirements for Soldered Electrical & Electronic Assemblies) were conducted Success fully from 2nd December to 12th December 2008 at Centre for Electronic Design and Technology (CEDT) department , Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Participants were from Robert Bosch, IISC, Tejas Networks, Honeywell Pune, ABB Mumbai IPC Shanghai, & IPCA in the course and they were certified as CITs. (Certified IPC Trainers for the course IPC 7711/7721) IPCA will avail of their services for training our industry technical personnel to be certified as CIS (Certified IPC Specialists)

Master Trainers (MIT) from IPC Shanghai, Mr, Liu James & Mr Leo Yang conducted these maiden courses by IATC. These courses were arranged with in a very short notice using CEDT Lab. facilities for this purpose.

 
 
Prof. G.V Mahesh, Principal Research Scientist, CEDT and Sri M.Anil Kumar, President IPCA were the chief guests during the concluding session. Mr Mahesh distributed the certificates to the successful CITs.

Sri Vijayendra, Director IATC gave a brief over view of the different IPC courses being conducted by IATC

Sri Anil Kumar, President IPCA congratulated IATC for starting the 2 courses and also the participants for completing the courses successfully . He Thanked Prof Mahesh for all the help extended for the running the courses at their premises.

Speaking on the occasion Prof Mahesh of IISc appreciated the efforts of IATC /IPCA in bringing the IPC courses to India, and expressed his interest in having joint training sessions on the IPC Certified training courses at CEDT and also offered to support technical work shops and seminars that can be arranged by IATC for the EMS Industries.

One more CIS course on IPC 610 D was conducted at PMCC premises, Bangalore by Mr. Vijayendra CIT from 17th Dec to 20th December 2008 for eleven participants from M/S Robert Bosch and R-Logic Technology Services ( I ) Pvt Ltd.

The fees mentioned are exclusive of service tax which 12.36%

 

 

 

IPCA members can avail a discount of 25% on the FEES.

 

 

 

 

Discount can also be availed by companies registering minimum  50 % of the participants per batch

As you have all been informed, IPCA is partnering in the Componex Nepcon Exhibition at Pragathi Maidan, New Delhi during 24-26 February, 2009.

In addition to the above schedule, it is also proposed to conduct one  CIS Course on IPC 610 D coinciding with the above event from 25th   to 28th  February 2009,  at Elcina House, Okla New Delhi.
