It was our pleasure to meet and interact with you at Bangalore IT.Biz on 19th October 2011. On behalf of the Government of Rajasthan, we would like to extend our thanks to you for giving us an opportunity to present Rajasthan as an emerging IT/ITeS hub in the country and the Aakash project.
As you are already aware that the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Jodhpur, Rajasthan has developed technology for laptops and a low cost tablet PC named “Aakash” has already been launched by the Ministry of Information Technology, Govt. of India. This is a significant innovation in the field of IT and a milestone in the education sector ensuring that IT will be within reach of the people, especially in rural areas.
In order to commercialize the tablet PC based on the technology developed by IIT Jodhpur, Government of Rajasthan (GoR) invites system integrators and other companies who wish to establish facilities in Rajasthan for commercial production of the tablet PCs. GoR can facilitate all infrastructure support and fiscal incentives to a suitable company wishing to start manufacturing tablet PCs.
We look forward to exploring the possibilities of partnering with you and facilitating this investment project in Rajasthan. We would welcome proposals in this regard along with specific requirements from the State Government, on bipjpr@raj.nic.in
