DELEGATION TO CPCA 2007 |
|
| |
|
|
| |
As per the decision of the
Executive Committee Meeting held on the 20th of January
2007, IPCA has organized a delegation to China to understand
the technological advancements, its current PCB industry
scenario and to understand China’s competitive advantages in
Electronics Hardware business, so as to add on to the
experience and the technological information we have already
gained during the past three visits to CPCA Show in the
previous years. The delegation visited China between 19th
March 2007 to 24th March 2007.

|
| |
Typical Laminate
manufacturing company with all necessary testing facilities.
Current capacity is 800 thousand sheets per month and
further expansion is being planned on, to step up the
capacity to meet the increasing demand of the global market
and also to establish an in-house manufacturing facility for
copper foil, the basic requirement for their making
laminates. |

The visit to this PCB

M/s Shanghai Nanya. It is a medium size, double sided and
multilayer boards’ manufacturing PCB company. Another group

INTECH—Intech Machines Co.
Ltd. In SUZHOU |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Suzhou is yet another industrial area, approximately located
in two hours drive from Shanghai |
|
| |
|
|
| |
This is one of the leading
Taiwanese Machine manufacturing company for wet processing
machines in PCB manufacturing, meeting the requirements of
such machines and competing with the other traditional
machinery in the global market. Around 750 employees are
working in the factory. |

This visit was arranged
through the courtesy of M/s Nica Tehcnology, Singapore and
M/s Nica India |

|
| |
APCB – a
bulk volume PCB manufacturing company |
|
| |
|
|
| |
They manufacture double sided
and Multilayer boards including that required for HDI
interconnect technology. Their turn over is around 140
thousand square meters per month of quality PC boards up to
42 layers. (including their prototype requirements of higher
counts). Mostly they manufacture 24 layer boards in bulk. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
An interesting point to note
was that most of the PCB manufacturing machinery (around 95
%) installed in their unit for continuous operation are all
from Taiwan based companies, with their own developed
technology and machines for the successful manufacture of
such a huge volume of PCBoards per month, employing around
1000 people. |

CPCA Show 2007 |
|
| |
21st
MARCH till 23rd |
|
| |
MARCH 2007 |
|
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
With the grand opening of
the Show (participated by IPCA in the Ribbon Cutting
ceremony by our Vice President Mr. Bhulani) on 21st March
2007, the Show started off well and continued till 23rd
March 2007. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
There
was very good response of visitors this year at IPCA booth
located in the WECC corner along with the other members of
WECC like IPC, JPCA etc. We have organized a
hostess/interpreter in our booth, along with our presence
and visitors could be responded to in their own language for
all the information they needed during their visit to our
stall. We have displayed the organizational charts
and the industry scenario of IPCA in our stall. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
This year the CPCA Show was
organized in the new Exhibition Centre located in Pudong
near the airport, well connected with buses arranged by the
authorities and the nearby metro. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
We could successfully make a
good publicity for our Expo 2007 through the distribution of
the brochures in the stalls as well as by personal visit to
each and every booth, meeting them, handing out the brochure
and inviting them to participate in our Expo. There has been
a good indication of their probable presence by many of them
in our Expo and further follow up is being done through
emails to confirm their participation. A few companies from
China, Taiwan and Korea have already sent emails to us,
looking out for taking booths in our Show. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
We could establish closer
interactions with all the WECC members representing all the
world PCB industry through personal contacts, mutual
discussions etc. and we enjoyed a very good response from
all our sister industry Associations and they have assured
all support to our event this year. Enough copies of
brochures were given to WECC members for their circulation
among their members in addition to our regular emails being
sent to them for further follow up, maintaining the same
mutual relationship. |

the next WECC meeting be held in India along with IPCA Expo,
the matter was brought in to discussion by the Secretary
